R.S. Sets was once again tasked by Ivory Worldwide earlier this year with the creation and construction of 27 exhibition stands in just 1½ days for the second annual UAE-UK Pioneers Forum. The 2015 careers fair – held at London’s Park Plaza Hotel at Westminster Bridge in partnership with Etihad Rail - also required staging for the pre-show gala dinner and the main speakers’ auditorium, a registration desk, STL lighting and Media House, as well as an eye-catching main sponsor’s stand.
Stands for exhibitors, including BP and Barclays, were crafted from a re-useable bespoke kit system designed by R.S. Sets for the 2014 forum. This project, which also included a limited breakdown timeframe of just 14 hours, utilised original and required some new digital graphics created in conjunction with the Digital Factory in Woking, including largescale internal and external auditorium graphics.
Attended by two members of UAE’s royal family and the UAE Ambassador to the UK, the UAE-UK Pioneers Forum was created to give Emirati and UK students a chance to interact with business leaders from both the UAE and the UK, and to showcase the career opportunities available within the UAE itself.
Abdulrahman Ghanem Almutaiwee, the UAE’s Ambassador to the UK, commented, “This event not only allows us to bring together students and the best organisations in the UAE under one roof, but [it] is also an opportunity for us to recognise those students who have shown excellence in their area of studies.”
